We had a cold snap in January 2007. I'm sure lots of folks around the country would laugh at us weather wimps for thinking what we have been through as a cold snap. The weather is one of the best things about living in the Bay Area so when it gets cold here, it's a big deal to us.
The water for the birds froze over.
The the lowest temperature in our backyard for over a year. The fireplace being only about 3 feet away from the inside temperature sensor made it look little warmer in the house then it really was.
